More Certificates Received

Elaine has sent me a wonderful collection of birth, marriage and death certificates relating to her father William and other members of her family.

These have helped to clear up a few "mysteries".

I am always extremely grateful for any certificates, pictures or other information anyone can send me.

Charles Bage Indenture 1808

I have been lucky enough to acquire a vellum Indenure dated 1808 for the release of land in Leeds. What is significant in this is that amongst the names mentioned is a Charles Bage. This is actually the Charles Bage who is the son of the novelist Robert Bage. I know this becasue named alongside Charles are his buiness partners Thomas & Benjamin Benyon. What an interesting find.

Happy New Year!!

Just wanted to wish all my fellow BAGE researchers a very happy New Year!!

I hope it's a good year for resolving some of your genealogical problems. I have high hopes for this year for the BAGE One-Name Study. I'm hoping to get a lot more data on line. Last year saw the introduction of the searchable Civil Marriages for England & Wales and this year should see both Births & Deaths appearing also.

It's also about time for a re-jig of the website which will take place in the coming months. For instance the user forum has been a bit of a disappointment, I had hoped it would attract more discussion and so I may rethink my approach with this if it is not of interest.

Please do let me have your thoughts on what you'd like to see on the website.

Best wishes for the New Year to all.

Keith

I do hope you find this information of use, and i'd love to hear some feedback if this is useful (especially via the Forum on the website, but good old e-mail would do just as good).

Global Data

It's possibly worth pointing out that the BAGE - One Name Study is actually a global study. As such that means that i am collecting all references to the name, no matter which country that might be. Of course I have amassed a large qty of references already so if your looking for anyone in another country i may be able to help. Of course i am always happy to receive information too no matter what the location.
